There are a number of schemes available which many families use to help reduce your childcare costs. Your eligibility and the amount of support available is dependent on factors such as household income, the number of children you have and the number of hours you work.

At Woodlands, many families benefit from the Government's funded childcare scheme, which can reduce your monthly fees during term time. We can help you to apply for this and then we claim it on your behalf each term. Eligibility criteria are available on the scheme's website.
From September 2024, working families are eligible for 11 hours per week of funded childcare (for 51 weeks each year) for children aged 9-23 months old.
From September 2025, this will increase to 22 hours per week of funded childcare (for 51 weeks each year).
From April 2024, working families are eligible for 11 hours per week of funded childcare (for 51 weeks each year) for 2 year olds. We also have a limited number of term-time only places available (15 hours per week for 38 weeks per year).
From September 2025, this will increase to 22 hours per week of funded childcare (for 51 weeks per year).
Alternatively, if your child is receiving certain government support (such as Universal Credit or Income Support), you may be eligible for 11 hours of funded childcare per week (for 51 weeks each year) for your 2 year old.
All 3 & 4 year olds are eligible for 11 hours per week of funded childcare (for 51 weeks each year) or 15 hours per week term-time only (for 38 weeks per year).
For working families, this increases to 22 hours per week (for 51 weeks each year) or 30 hours per week term-time only (for 38 weeks per year).
You might also benefit from the following schemes to reduce the cost of your fees.
Working families can get up to £2,000 per year towards childcare costs for children aged 0-11. For every £8 you pay into an online account, the Government will add an extra £2. More information is available here.
If you are working and also claiming Universal Credit, you may be able to claim up to 85% of your childcare costs.More information is available here.
